In Celebration of

Glenda Parker

January 3, 1942 -  August 11, 2019

It is with great sorrow that we announce the loss of our beloved Glenda, who passed away suddenly and tragically on Sunday August 11th, 2019 at the age of 77. Glenda was a mentor, confidante, leader and a huge source of love for her family and so many friends.Glenda was married to Lorry for 54 years. Together, they set a perfect example of true love and partnership. She was a constantly concerned and caring mother to her three sons, Kent, Kevin and Cary. She loved each of her daughters-in-law, Stacy, Karen and Michelle.
Her seven grandchildren will miss her greatly- Maiya, Monet, Calvin, Bennett, Merrilee, Ella and Marlo. After every visit, she professed her tremendous pride and love for them.Glenda will also be missed greatly by her sister-in-law Elaine and her special cousins Mary, Glen, Lina, Brandon, Ava and Theresa. While the health and well-being of her family was the centre of her universe, Glenda still had many, many rich friendships that she cherished: "The Dinner Group", her Book Club gang, her many longtime school friends, her neighbours, her charity friends, and many more. She was everyone's "best friend" or "sister", and she shared her love and support with them all. She worked thoughtfully and diligently on every project she encountered. She loved to travel with Lorry and was truly in her peaceful place tending her gorgeous garden, and cooking in her kitchen. We will all miss her dearly. Friends may call at Turner and Porter, Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto, on Saturday August 17th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a service in the Chapel at 11:00 am. Following that, there will be a reception in the Brule Room at The Old Mill, 21 Old Mill Rd., Toronto, starting at 12:15 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Glenda's favourite charity, Sleeping Children Around The World [SCAW], or any charity of your choice would be appreciated.
