Passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer. Predeceased by her mother Mary Catherine (Kitty) Matesic. Sister of Maura Matesic and daughter of Steve Matesic. Gina’s passion for learning led her to 3 graduate degrees: a Master of Arts in Canadian History, a Master of Library Science and a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology. She spent most of her working life as a librarian at various universities where her knowledge and interests were utilized. She was committed to Canada and lived in Alberta, Manitoba and Nova Scotia before settling in Toronto. Her enthusiasms were many, including gardening, quilting and cycling and she pursued these with a whole heart.
