In Celebration of

Gerald Vercaigne

August 20, 1933 -  January 21, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Gerald Vercaigne at the age of 87. Gerald was a COVID survivor but it left him in Palliative Care. He passed away in Oakville on Thursday, January 21, 2021. We are at peace knowing he will now join with his beloved wife Rosemary who passed away on August 11, 2019. Gerald is survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed beyond words.

The family asks that donations in his memory be directed to the Oakville Hospital Foundation. Thank you to the amazing team in the COVID unit and in Palliative Care. We will be forever grateful for your support and endless dedication.

Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca.

Ger, Lisa, and your families,
We are so very sorry for your loss. Your Dad (Papa) was such a warm and kind man. He and your Mom (Nana) always made us feel like part of the family when we'd come up to visit. What a warrior to have beat covid. We are thinking of you.

It was my privilege to have had the opportunity to get to know both Rosemary and Gerry. They truly were beautiful people inside and out. Gerry always talked fondly of his family and how deeply proud he was of his children and grandchildren. Sending my condolences to all who loved Gerry. He will be missed.
