In Celebration of

George Lubomir Kapy

May 3, 1933 -  August 4, 2023

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear dad, George Kapy.

He passed away peacefully on Friday August 4, 2023 at the long term care facility, Cawthra Gardens after his battle with dementia and alzheimer’s. He is now reunited with his loving wife Katherine. Dear father to Olga, George Jr. Katherine and Walter. He will be sadly missed by his grand-children Jessica, John Christian, August, Taylor and April. Beloved "Jaja" to the great grand-children Jaiden and Nathan.

As we say our final good-byes, we find solace in knowing that our father's spirit is finally free from the grip of dementia. He will be remembered not for the disease that took him from us but for the remarkable, hard-working person he was throughout his life.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all the healthcare professionals and caregivers who supported dad during this challenging time. Their compassion, dedication and unwavering care brought comfort during his most challenging moments. We are forever grateful for their invaluable contributions.

He was loved by so many and will be missed for his kindness, generosity good nature ribbing. He always had time to stop and chat.

Rest in Peace "Ta"

Family requests in lieu of flowers, to please make a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Peel using the following link: https://alzheimer.ca/
They were a godsend, George attended their day program and they helped our family cope with and understand this debilitating disease.

I remember dancing with George….we both had bad knees….Olga laughed, noting that we both limped to the dance floor, then danced our butts off, and then limped off….
…he was always so friendly with such a great smile.
My condolences to the entire family.

I send my deepest sympathy in this time of sorrow. The Bible gives a comforting hope and promises that your loved one will soon live again in a peaceful paradise earth when death is no more. (John 5:28, 29; Revelation 21:4)
