He was a devoted and loving dad to Darlene (Fern) and Scott (Kathy) ❤️❤️

He was the best papa and loved his two granddaughters the Most - Leanne (Matt) and Jennifer ❤️❤️

He was a very proud great grand papa to Luka (who he loved to see play hockey) and little Miss Sophie (who he loved to watch do anything - dance, talk, play….) ❤️❤️

And lastly, he loved his fur grand and great grand babies. They are surely going to miss the teasing before getting the treat zoom zoom
Charlie (Scott and Kathy’s)
Toby (Darlene and Fern’s)
Jackson (Leanne and Matt’s)

Gary loved his family beyond words and his family loved him beyond the moon and back again. The world is a little sadder without him in it ❤️❤️

I would like to thank you for visiting my dad’s online memorial My dad did not want a service and up to right now I have respected all of my dad’s wishes and will continue to do so. I would like this Online Memorial to be full of memories of my dad (or even my mom for she was his life).
Please, please, please add photos or videos on here (there’s a section to download pictures and videos) and definitely PLEASE share a story or two or three of my dad (or mom and dad). These would be so appreciated right now There is a section on here for telling stories, it’s just a click away
If you don’t have a story and just want to write how you met my dad, I would love to know that too
I will, all of a sudden, think of a story of him and will be writing it down in the story part on here to share a piece of my dad’s life with you
Thank you so much for taking a minute to help celebrate my dad’s life here ❤️

Papa is missed so much and our life has a little less sparkle and laughter without him, but we do have some amazing memories with him from the skating rink in his backyard to picking up slushies (my favourite) when grandma and papa used to take us back home. There’s so many memories we will never forget (5 cent offer for a back scratch, pecan pie with pecan ice cream). I hope grandma isn’t giving you too hard of a time up there! Love you forever and always💕

I would start with grandmas peanut brittle story but I can hear her yelling at me from above not to tell anyone that story❤️ I remember the trips to Niagara Falls with grandma and papa and papa would swim with us in the hotel pool. He was always the first one active with us, skating, swimming, etc. they’d let us play at the arcade in the falls and papa would tell us about stories when he grew up there.
There was the time we used to go to high park for fires and they stopped letting people have non fires there so when we came home papa helped us make s’mores on the bbq.
Anytime you made papa something new to try he’d take a few tiny but dramatic first bites and tell you how good it was.

I was talking to my sister-in-law today and we were talking about my dad and she said he was just such a gentleman in every shape of the word. He had such a respect for women and she loved when he did toasts before special dinners and would show his appreciation for the person who cooked and being invited….
Well that was my dad totally. I can remember my mom would have spent all day cooking a Turkey dinner and we were all sitting at the table and my dad would want to do a toast and he would start thanking her for all her hard work in making this meal and then he would talk more and more and mom would huff and puff then say “Ok Gary can you wrap it up cause I spent all day cooking it and it’s going to be cold by the time we get to eat it” lol. She was right but he was sweet doing the toasts Also, when I would walk down the street with my dad, he always would make me walk to his left and he’d walk beside the street for in his time back then, men would protect the women if a car went thru a puddle and splashed up on the man not the woman. That is just a little piece of my dad ❤️

My dad kept his front yard and backyard so beautiful every year He loved gardening I used to bring him up every spring and we’d go to Bradford Greenhouse and we’d get our flowers for the garden. I lost my summer flower shopping buddy 😢
