In Celebration of

GLORIA ANNE MOFFATT (nee Miller)

June 2, 1938 -  September 6, 2023

We are greatly saddened to regretfully announce the peaceful passing of Gloria Anne Moffatt (nee Miller), at the age of 85 on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Kenneth (Ken) Moffatt; her sons, Thomas (Tom) and wife Brenda, Mark and wife Kim and Michael; her two grandchildren, Patricia (Tricia) and Ashley and her great-grandson Felix.

Gloria spent her youth in what was known as New Toronto (now part of Toronto), where she went to Mimico High School and ultimately met Ken, the love of her life. They resided in Long Branch after their wedding in December of 1956 and then moved to Clarkson in the Toronto Townships (now Mississauga) in 1961 which remains the family home today. Gloria had but one passion, which was family. Like her parents before her John and Alfeeta Miller family was everything to her from her sons, granddaughters, and ultimately her great-grandson (she loved to watch him play hockey as it reminded her of her sons).
She loved to spend time reminiscing over a glass of white wine (CHEERS) and enjoyed participating in the various events and moments that were important to her boys and their families, celebrations each and every time.

Thank you to her various caregivers from the March of Dimes, Acclaim Health, Home & Community Care of Peel Halton, and her physicians and nurses from Trillium Health Partners. Most importantly, a big thank you to Dr. Brianne Robinson and Dr. Mary Fran Bolland who without their care would have made Mom’s last months intolerable.

Visitation and Funeral at Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas St W, Mississauga, ON L5K 1R2 (905) 828-8000.
Visitation on Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 2pm until 5pm.
Funeral Service is on Monday, September 11, 2023, 11am.

In lieu of flowers a donation in memory of Gloria Moffatt to Alzheimer Society of Canada at https://alzheimer.ca/ or March of Dimes Canada at https://www.marchofdimes.ca/

Sending our prayers to the family at this very difficult time. Reading your moms history, I did not know that she attended Mimico High - I did as well. RIP
