In Celebration of

Frank Falk

June 24, 1935 -  December 30, 2016

Frank’s passions were travel, airplanes, trains, sailing, fishing, cooking, reading, big band music, beagle meet-ups, & drinking imported beer. Outside of his career at CN Rail & Via Rail he was an avid historian & spoke 4 languages.
Frank was the best friend of his wife Kathy. He had a special bond with his mother-in-law Louise & father-in-law Archie. He will also be dearly missed by his sisters Margot, Dagmar, & their children and his sister-in-law Chickie. His love for animals means that his beloved beagle “Mouse” is also missing him.

Love always,
Kathy

"To Frank - my big brother

You will always be my hero - handsome, smart, debonair, world traveller, history enthusiast.

I will forever cherish your understanding, your quick wit, your appreciation of the finer things in life and our great conversations and visits.

I will remember your love of sports cars, road trips and horseback riding with you. You were always so generous: I remember your extravagant gifts and the beagle you gave me when I was little – it was the puppy I always wanted. I looked forward to every day spent with you.

Your spirit is with me always".
Love Margot

For my Uncle Frank,

I will always remember the sound of your voice, your laugh, and your perceptive eyes. You never suffered fools, and if confronted with one, they would find themselves in one of your many stories. I will remember your stories, your love of your family both human and canine. Thank you for seeing me through my childhood and into adulthood, and thank you for being so interested in my studies, in Canada and now in Australia. Thank you for being part of my life. You will be missed.

Fondly, and with love,
Melanie

Memories of Frank
My brother, Frank, is gone physically, but very much alive in my memory. When we were children, he expressed his affection for me by teasing me or hiding my favorite doll. I grew up in awe of him, of his suave appearance and vast knowledge. He was well-versed about WW11 events through intensive reading. During his life, Frank enjoyed numerous trips, especially sailing. He even served The Queen and Prince Phillip during their train trip through Canada. Now, that he is gone, I will miss his phone calls: "Dagmar, how are you?" I will always cherish memories of the last visit I had with Frank two years ago.

Frank was the best son-in-law anyone would want. He was always a gentleman. He will be sadly missed by everyone.

Love,
Louise

Our Tribute to BYOB Member, BOB Supporter & Beagle Lover ~ Frank Falk

Recently, we received a very thoughtful donation from BYOB member, Margot, and her daughter Melanie. The donation was made to our beagles in loving memory of Margot's brother, Frank Falk. Not only was Frank a supporter of our rescue and a member of our BYOB meetup group, he was also the #1 Faithful Servant of Mouse the family beagle.
Frank loved beagles. He loved attending our events and he loved giving out treats when nobody was looking. He couldn't help himself. I guess you could say he was just as mischievous as the beagles he so loved. In Margot's words… "This donation is in loving memory of Frank. He was always fond of beagles and passionate about their well being and care. Love from his sister, Margot and niece, Melanie".

Frank, you will be missed.
