In Celebration of

Franjo "Frank" Herceg

March 9, 1948 -  February 16, 2021

Frank entered into rest in the morning of Tuesday, February 16th, 2021. He was the loving husband of Kata (Kathy) Herceg, adored father to John Herceg, his wife Lisa and two precious grandchildren, Ava and Jake, father to Christina O’Neill and her husband Justin, as well as two more loving grandchildren, Tegan and Ethan. Franjo was the devoted son of Ivan and Anica (both deceased), loving brother of Stipe and wife Ljubica, Tony (deceased) and wife Mary, and Mila and her husband Doug (deceased). He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Frank’s legacy is one that will live on for years. Frank was an active leader throughout his career in several workplaces, a leader of many teams, a mentor to many people. He will be remembered as a people’s leader - one that would always do the right thing. His humour and character were unmatched, and his passion for success was exceptional. Those that spent time working with Frank will recall his style - very unique to his personality, always dependable for success, but more importantly, for taking care of his team. Frank enjoyed several hobbies in his spare time, in his younger years, an avid soccer player and coach to both of his children, a competitive pool player and the biggest fan of his grandchildren in their many sports and activities. As his career began to wind down, Frank enjoyed spending his time in his condo in Florida where he made several new acquaintances. Frank was very proud of his background - born in Croatia and migrated to Canada during his youth to start building his family. He was very fond of his roots and continued to play an active role in the local Croatian community. Frank will be remembered by each of us - every one of us with a different story to tell about him and his legacy. He will forever live in our hearts and in our memories.

Strina, Smedi i Seka,

I love you all so much and I am so very sorry for your loss.

Stric was the best uncle anyone could ever ask for, as a kid and as an adult. He was one of the most vibrant and happy go lucky people I have ever encountered in my life and he always treated me like is own son. To me he was like a second dad throughout the years.

It's hard to pick my favorite memory of Stric because there are WAY too many great memories to choose from. Not many will understand this one, but the people who I want to understand it will, so here goes:

Stric to John and Myself - 6 foot 2, 200 pounds, scared to go downstairs! Hajde, ko ce prvi!

Stric was taken from us too soon, but I know that, while we have lost someone so special and so wonderful, it truly is heavens gain. Stric will never leave us. He never would. This is a new beginning and a new journey for a wonderful man, being accepted into God's hands now, who will still be watching over everyone he so dearly loved.

I love you Strina, Smedi and Seka.

Stric, I know we will meet again someday, on the other side. I love you.

Xoxo,
Danny

Frank was a force to be reckoned with. I learned so much from him throughout our years working together. He will be sorely missed as a mentor and friend.
