It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Franciska Perkovic (Maltar) at the age of 85 on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Beloved wife to the late Walter Perkovic. Loving mother to Darlene Romano (Joe) and lovingly remembered by Nicolas and Luke (Rebeca) as Baba. A dear sister, aunt and friend, she embodied kindness and love, always greeting the world with a warm smile.

Franciska was a dedicated mother, cherishing her daughter, son in law and grandchildren, who were her greatest joy. Her seven siblings were not just family, but lifelong companions, and together they created a tapestry of memories filled with laughter and love.

An active and engaged member of her community, Franciska had a remarkable ability to connect with others. Her vibrant spirit and beautiful soul touched everyone she met. She found joy in simple moments and shared that happiness generously with all around her.

As we celebrate her life, we remember her unwavering kindness, her joyful laughter, and the love she so freely gave. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and strength that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends and everyone she touched. She will be deeply missed!

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 1pm. Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery.
