In Celebration of

Florence Mae Currie

May 28, 1923 -  October 6, 2018

CURRIE, Florence Mae (nee Ramsey) ~
Unexpectedly but peacefully on Saturday, October 6, 2018 in Brampton, Ontario in her 96th year. Loving mom of Wendy Steadman and David Currie. Devoted and proud grandma of Katelyn Steadman, Patrick Steadman and Nigel Currie. Mom lived a full and selfless life with grace and humour. She was an avid euchre and bridge player, and loved to travel the world. Her most cherished times were spent with family including trips to the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake and various summer resorts. She rose to all challenges and we can’t imagine a more devoted and committed mom and grandma. We would like to thank all of the dedicated and caring staff at Richview Residence where she lived so happily. Mom, you taught us how to navigate through the challenges and how to laugh in the darkest moments. We will miss you very much. Friends may call at Bloordale United Church, 4258 Bloor St. W., Toronto, on Thursday October 11, 2018 from 2 p.m until the time of the Service at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or to Bloordale United Church.

I am so glade, I could give Florence a Hand, to accomplished little things, I am going to miss her greatly. So will the group of the Card Players, which she enjoyed so much.

My wonderful Aunt Florence is traveling on another journey. I’m going to miss her and our long, fun phone conversations. Always a great laugh every time and such positive energy she shared with me. May you Rest In Peace, Florence. I love you very much.
