Flo Burke

March 13, 1920 - September 21, 2017

Suddenly, at Humber River Hospital on Thursday September 21, 2017, at the age of 97. Flo will be missed by: her son Patrick John Burke, of Los Angeles; and by her younger sisters Josephine Voltan, of Etobicoke, and Anne O’Keefe, of London. Predeceased by her husband Patrick Burke in 1994, and by her older sister Mary Capaldi, of Edinburgh in 2016. The family will receive friends at Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas Street W., Etobicoke, (between Kipling and Islington Aves.), on Friday from 6 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at The Village of Humber Heights Retirement Home, 2245 Lawrence Avenue W., Etobicoke. (West of Scarlet Rd.) on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 9:30 am. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery, at 11:15 am.

Our thoughts are with the family at this time. No time is a good time to lose a parent regardless of the long life they have had. Flo will be sadely missed.

💔🌸So very sad for your loss, John.. I admired your mom for living on her own for so very long after your Dad had passed. She was feisty and energetic-always on the go! She never seemed to get sick yet when my sister or I did-she knew the exact tea in which to help-Cinnamon, Green or Ginger-some of her favorites. To this day I think of her when I have tea or ginger candies! I'm so very sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in knowing she had a life well lived.
