It's always hard to let go of someone you care about deeply, but more than anything, I'm glad you're at peace now, Opa, and with Oma once more. I'm grateful for the nearly 28 years I got to spend with you, and though it never seems like enough time, it'll always be something I look back on smile about. I'll always remember you as the guy everyone loved to be friends with, the one everyone around you knows. Your smiling face as you befriended everyone around you always made me smile. Thank you for being such a good husband, father and Opa for all these years. I'll always be extremely grateful I got to be your grandson, and I'll miss you more than you know. I love you, Opa.
We were sorry to hear of the passing of Fred “Mayor of Port Elgin “ . When we moved into our house in 1991 we were were having a beer waiting to move in & there was Fred . He was so welcoming. Next Joyce came over looking for a a Fred. The rest is history of:fun!!!!!!! We were constantly breaking the fun meter. We will always have have these many memories in our hearts. It is comforting to know that he is reunited with the greatest love of his life . Rest in peace old friend .
Dad,
It's been a long and rough road since we lost Mom close to three years ago. I know that a piece of you left when she did and you never recovered. She was the love of your life and you were so lonely without her.
I know that you and Mom are together once again, and it truly makes me smile to think of you both happy and together for eternity.
Rest easy, Dad. You will be missed but our memories with and of you will ease the grief.
I love you and wish you peace.
Kathy
P.S. Hope you are having a beer with Uncle Adi. :)
We are all better for knowing both Fred and Joyce. Our hearts are sad, but at the same time, happy, now that they are together again.
My heartfelt sympathy on your Dad’s passing ……he was always so kind, thoughtful and welcoming! We always had good visits with your Dad and your dear Mom. May you find peace knowing they are together again, and hold on to all the memories of happier times.
