SUHAY, Eva (nee Sirchich) Passed away in her 70th year at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto on Saturday December 1, 2018. She was the beloved wife of Jozef Suhay for 49 years, cherished mother of Andrew (Claire), Eric (Allison Smith), Andrea (Matthew Park), adored Oma of Joe, Eileen, Audrey and Isaac, Aunt to Tian and dear sister of Paul and Ivan Sirchich (Cathy Ford). She will also be fondly remembered by her friends and neighbors of so many over the years.
Born in Trnava, Slovakia and raised in Piestany, Eva’s studies and work took her to Austria then on to Canada at an early age. Her most cherished moments were spent with family and her beloved dogs, Ben, Abbey and Jamie. Her loving, caring and generous spirit will be thought of with love and missed by so many.
Visitation will be held on Friday December 7, 2018 at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. West from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Eva Suhay or a local animal shelter of their choice.
