In Celebration of

Eva "Pauline" Robinson

June 18, 1926 -  December 5, 2021

A letter to Mom as she has passed without the gift of memory.

Dear Mom,

We are sad to see you go and will miss you with all our hearts. We know you are in a much better place, with Dad, holding hands and making a chair. He will be so happy to have his Goddess by his side.

You had an impish sense of humour, the sweetest smile, and most endearing disposition.
You lived a wonderful life, your teenage years on Toronto Island, enjoying supervision and dancing with your many lifelong friends, graduating as an RN from Wellesley Hospital, curling and socializing at the Boulevard and Mississauga Golf & Country Clubs, family cruising from Lefroy to your many friends in the islands of Georgian Bay.

When Dad retired, you spent 20 active years in sunny Sarasota, enjoying your many “Oakville” friends, walks on the beach, and daily tennis, which you took up at a 70-years young…You were not going to have Dad on those courts without you!

You adored living on the water at your home on the Watersedge in Clarkson, and later in Bobcaygeon and the Palace Pier in Etobicoke.

Most of all, you loved being a Mom, homemaker, and taking care of people - you were the best (and cooked a mean Sunday Roast!) You devoted your life to family, friends, and many volunteer activities in your communities, including the Ladies Auxiliary at the South Peel Hospital, now known as Trillium Health Centre.

Your loving and devoted husband Doug passed away in 2014.

You will be forever cherished by your children, Cathy (Michael), Jeff (Michelle), Kerri (Kevin), Jamie (Vivian) your Grandchildren, Matthew (Jaclyn), Jeff (Lora), Claire (Mario) and Elise. Your Great Grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley, Jason and Joey, and your nieces and nephews.
Rest peacefully Mom, we love you.

Our family would like to extend our most sincere, and heartfelt appreciation for the care, love and affection given to our Mom by Lina Oliveira and the outstanding team on Emma’s Neighbourhood at the Village of Humber Heights.
We also have a special place in our hearts for our Angel, Sunny (and Leo) who cared for Mom with love for many years.

Our family will gather privately to celebrate Mom.

If friends wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.

To a wonderful Aunt, whose warm smile, and loving touch meant so much.
So many beautiful memories of our families together over the years, at various times and place’s. Laughter, love, food and fun.
Both Aunty Paul and Uncle Doug, openly shared their love and caring, to family and friends.
Pauline was a true lady, kind, caring, well mannered and gracious.
I miss them both, and am very grateful for all the times that I have wonderful memories of.
God bless. Penny
