In Celebration of

Eva Lily Miller

July 9, 1929 -  February 4, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Eva Miller (Orr) on February 4, 2024. Born on July 9, 1929, Eva lived a full and meaningful life. She was a devoted wife to Edgar (Bud) Miller, who preceded her in death, and a loving mother to her four sons: Ed (Darlene), Ron (Jennifer), Scott (Tammy) and Gary (Amanda). Eva took great pride in her grandchildren Jordan (Jessica), Adam (Sydney), Peter, Daniel and great-grandchildren Nathan and Leah.

Eva was born in Toronto at the beginning of the great depression. She was a tried-and-true Torontonian, living in various locations until settling in the west end. There she raised her family and found immense pleasure in the tranquility of her backyard, surrounded by her beautiful garden and vibrant geraniums. It was her haven, where she embraced the beauty of nature and created countless cherished memories.

The family wishes to express gratitude to the dedicated healthcare providers who cared for Eva allowing her to stay in her beloved home for many years and to those at Hampton Terrace who played an integral role in Eva's care during her last few months. Your compassion and dedication were a source of comfort, and we appreciate the care and support you provided.

In honoring Eva Miller's memory, the family invites friends and loved ones to join them to celebrate her life on February 9, 2024, from 2 – 4 pm at Turner and Porter Funeral Home, 2357 Bloor Street West Toronto, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada or charity of your choice in Eva Miller's name.

Forever in our hearts, may you rest in peace Mom.

I remember Eva being a very bright and joyful neighbour on Gilmour Ave, Toronto. My family and I had a very happy relationship with Eva, Bud and their four sons, Ed, Ron, Scott and Gary. We have very fond memories of the Miller family.
May I offer our sincere condolences to the Miller family and friends at this time. Unfortunately, John and I are out of the country and will not be able to attend the funeral. John and Mary Cottrell
