In Celebration of

Eva Hegedus

January 23, 1963 -  January 28, 2020

Eva Hegedus passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on the evening of Tuesday, January 28th, 2020 in her 57th year.

Eva was an incredible mother of two and a compassionate friend of so many. She leaves behind her children, Csilla Purdy (Matthew) and Robert Hegedus. She was the best Grandma Eva to her three grandchildren, Austyn-Jaimes (9), Sebastian (7), and Evelyn (4), all of whom will miss her dearly. They remember her for her insatiable desire to craft and play and learn together.

She had a very special place in her heart for a man that cared for her like no other. One that dreamed with her, challenged her and encouraged her to be her very best self. She will be remembered by Matt.

Pre-deceased by her parents, Sandor & Iren, Eva was a loving sister to Erzsebet (Mihaly) and Katalin (Laszlo), and beautiful aunt to several nieces, nephews and their children. She was best friend to Istvan, and will be missed by many others.

Eva was a free spirit; a lover of nature and it's beauty. She adored people and was selfless in all her friendships and relationships. She was giving, thoughtful, gentle and kind. She always made everyone feel welcome and important in her home. She loved hosting friends and family, to celebrate holidays, special occassions and even the simple things in life. Eva could craft and cook like no other.

She loved to travel, visiting America, Europe, the United Arab Emirates, the Caribbean and various provinces all across Canada. She showcased her fabulous art in many places, and leaves behind pieces on display in North America and Europe.

She will be forever remembered for her sense of humour, her laugh, her hugs, her smile and her love.

Mom, you were so beautiful. You made us so proud. We will miss you and love you forever and a day. We pray you watch over us and our families, guide us, and smile down at us. We hope we make you proud too.
