It is with profound sadness that the family of Eugene Jerome Lidster announces his passing.
Eugene passed away at his home in Mississauga on Friday, May 7, 2021, after his battle with cancer.
Eugene will be sadly missed and forever remembered by the love of his life, wife and soulmate Eulah, his mom Eileen, in-laws Wesley and Pauline who treated him like their own. Brothers Cyril (Eileen), Wayne (Charlene), Brian ( Roxanne), Tracy, Noel (Jenn). Brother-in-law Buck (who only Eugene could call Dorman). Sisters Audrey(Kenneth), Corinne (Lloyd), Sister in laws Sylvia, and Krista.
Eugene will be fondly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
Also in mourning, his beloved cat Thor, who is at a loss right now.
To say hearts are broken is an understatement. If you were to take the best qualities from every Lidster and put them into one, that was Eugene. He was funny, musical, artistic, loving, honest, fair, caring, and hardworking (to say the least). He always had a hug and a compliment for everyone (in his own words "Especially the pretty ones") Eugene was a friend to all, the neighborhood will not be the same without his smiling face and charm.
He will now meet with his Dad, James, Brothers Jimmy and Rod, Sisters Rose Marie and Isabel, as well as many loved ones lost along the way.
The world is a lesser place right now and heaven has improved. He will be with us always.
Service and a celebration of life will follow at a later date in Newfoundland.
Memorial donations may be made in Eugene's name to The Canadian Cancer Society.
