In Celebration of

Emma Krohm

August 2, 1924 -  August 25, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Emma Krohm on August 25, 2020 at the age of 96.

Beloved wife of the late Richard Krohm, and dear sister to Meta and Oscar. She will be greatly missed by her children Renate (George), Erica (Mike), Harry (Mary), Paul (Muguette), and Helen (Joe). Loving Oma to 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Emma will be fondly remembered by everyone who knew and loved her. We thank everyone who cared for our Mom during her final months.

If desired, donations may be made in Emma’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, The Heart and Stoke Foundation, or The Church of the Holy Spirit of Peace.

A private ceremony with the family has taken place.

Condolences to all the family on the passing of your Mother, Oma and Great-Oma.

There are so many happy memories we have of Tanta Emma. The earliest is when my family returned from Germany and lived with Tante Emma and family for several months. The cream corn soup is something I remember and I can still open a can of cream corn and eat it all by myself. I also remember Tante Emma getting upset when the cat would walk around her feet almost tripping her.

Tante Emma would often retell the story of how she became sick during a visit to Edmonton and Clayton took care of her by bringing water; later Clayton became ill himself.

Tante Emma and Uncle Richard were my godparents and throughout the many years I would always receive a birthday card with a gift inside. Later we both would get a birthday phone call. She never forgot.

Tante Emma was always so calm and relaxed and I’ll always remember her laugh.
