Betty moved from Philadelphia to Toronto in 1933, where she was raised by her aunt. While growing up she loved skating, singing, dancing and the cottage at Midland. During and after the war she toured with the prestigious Leslie Bell Singers as a soprano.
Later in life, during the summer months she could be found at her cottage on Lake St. Nora enjoying her family and friends, and playing bridge until all hours.
In December 2020, Betty won the battle against COVID-19.
She will be missed by her friends at Amica City Centre. Our sincere thanks to the nursing and support staff on the second floor. A special thanks to Maria and Sue. We would also like to thank the kind staff at Trillium Health Partners, who cared for her in her final days.
A private family service has been held. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery.
If desired, donations may be made to Trillium Health Partners Foundation at trilliumgiving.ca/inmemory, or a charity of your choice.
