Our beloved mother and grandmother, Elizabeth (Betty) Jefferson (nee Woodbyrne) passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 28, 2024 in her 90th year. Betty will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 65 years John and her children Louise (Randy), Gina (Dave), Margaret (Kevin) and John (Christi) and her four grandchildren Patrick, Rebecca, Renée and Sydney.

Betty is predeceased by her parents, Charles Woodbyrne, Margaret Woodbyrne (nee Curtain) and her siblings Mary Bailey (Fred), Margaret Woodbyrne, Eileen Woodbyrne, Theresa Woodbyrne, William Woodbyrne (Honora), Frances Kenney (Fred) and will be greatly missed by her surviving sister Patricia Woodbyrne (Larry).

Betty was born and raised in Toronto and lived in Ottawa before settling in Mississauga. She enjoyed attending plays, musicals and traveling extensively with her husband John especially during their retirement.

Family and Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Peel Chapel”, 2180 Hurontario St, Mississauga, on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 2-3 PM and followed by the Celebration of Life in the Chapel at 3 PM.
