In Celebration of

Elizabeth Armitage

February 10, 1929 -  December 17, 2018

Passed away peacefully in her 90th year with family at her side. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ross, and their sons Chuck (Christine), Stephen and David (Allison). She is now reunited with their other two sons Robert (d. 1976) and Johnny (d. 1969). She was a loving grandmother to Jordan, Daniel, Evan, Jeremy and Vivian. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Brodie. Our heartfelt appreciation to the staff at The Village of Humber Heights where she received exceptional care for the last two and a half years.
Elizabeth graduated in nursing from Wellesley Hospital in 1951 and became an early pioneer in commercial air travel as a flight attendant for Trans-Canada Airlines. After raising a family of busy boys, she rejoined the airline and became a nurse for Air Canada until she retired in 1994. Elizabeth had an insatiable love of travel and a wonderful sense of adventure. She will be deeply missed for her love, laughter and enjoyment of a good party or a fun game, especially bridge.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., east of the Jane subway on Thursday from 6-9 p.m.
Funeral Service will be Friday, December 21, 2018 at 2 p.m. at All Saints Kingsway Church, 2850 Bloor St. W., Toronto.
If desired, donations to The Hospital for Sick Children Foundation would be appreciated.
