Elizabeth Anne (Penny) Clasper

Elizabeth Anne (Penny) Clasper passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Henry Clasper (predeceased), Penny was born on August 16, 1941, in Toronto.

Predeceased by her father George and her mother Elsie, she is survived by her sister Martha (Brian) and sons Edward (Maria) and James (Roma) and four wonderful and adored grandchildren – Cameron, MacKenzie, Caroline and Sophia and nephews.

Penny and Harry lived in Toronto, where they raised their family for years before moving up north to the Coboconk area to run Shadow Lake Resort until Harry’s death. Penny returned to Toronto to live out her retirement years with her family and friends.

Penny loved reading and doing crosswords and was a devoted fan of her grandchildren’s sports events. She adored animals, especially dogs. Cleo will miss her dearly and Harley will meet her in heaven. Penny was a kind, gentle and humble soul, she will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Friends and family may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W. on Sunday, June 2 from 1-4 pm and funeral service on Tuesday, June 4 at 11:00am.
