It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Elena Kieda on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the age of 88 years old. Elena was a devoted wife of Richard for 64 years. She will be forever cherished by her children, Regina (Martin) and Claudio (Rina). Babcia will be greatly missed and always treasured by her granddaughters, Jennifer and Stephanie, and step-grandchildren, Jessica and Justin.

Elena grew up in Poland during World War II. She married Richard and moved to Argentina to start a family. They moved to Toronto where Elena worked for many years at St Joseph Hospital. She learned to speak fluently in three languages: Polish, Spanish and English. Elena prayed the rosary every day. She enjoyed feeding the birds in her backyard and looked forward to her weekly crossword puzzle. Elena will always be remembered as generous and selfless for her family. She will be forever in our hearts.

A private family service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021. If desired, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Elena’s memory to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
