In Celebration of

Elaine Rosamond Reece

July 28, 1927 -  April 29, 2022

Sissy passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2022, at home with her family at the age of 94.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Terry of 75 years, and her beloved children Peggy (Brian), Sharon (Harold) and Ian (Nadia). She was a devoted grandmother to Jennifer, Richard, Rachel, Jonathan, Daniel, Sarah and Michelle. A cherished great-grandmother to Oliver, Clara, Jack, Charlie, Eden and Eva.

Sissy was born in Bridgetown, Barbados. She was the second daughter of the late Carl and the late Edith Leach. Sister of Ronald, the late Joan and the late James.

In 1949, Sissy and Terry, with young Peggy, came to Toronto and settled in the west end to raise their family. Besides being an excellent mother and grandmother, she was an active church member, a keen badminton and tennis player, an avid gardener, a superb baker, and a huge Blue Jays fan.

Sissy will be remembered for her great kindness, tremendous wit, many friendships and loving presence. She will remain in our hearts forever.

There will be a service on Saturday, May 28 at 11 am at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Islington 3962 Bloor St West, Etobicoke M9B 1M3.

If desired, donations may be made to St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Islington in her memory.
