In Celebration of

Edward Roberts

December 31, 1928 -  June 18, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Roberts at the age of 94 on Thursday, June 18, 2020. The beloved husband of Kathleen for 70 years and treasured father of Paula. Much loved grandfather of Caitlin, her husband Salar, and Ryan. Edward was born in Chesterville, Ontario in 1925 to Alfred Joseph Roberts and Margaret McMillan.
A graduate of the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Commerce, he also served in the RCAF from 1944 to 45. His career spanned 39 years with Canada Packers Limited as group Vice President and Director, among other roles.
He was active in swimming, fishing, curling, and skiing, but his first love was golf. He was a member of St. George's Golf and Country Club for over 54 years where he enjoyed the friendships and fellowship of the many members.
He is survived by his sister Mary Richardson and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at All Saints Church, 1415 Royal York Rd. Toronto, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2020 followed by interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Covenant House.

Very sorry to learn of Ed’s passing last week he was always a gentleman and treated everyone with such respect . I got to see Ed on several occasions during the past three years or so at our monthly Meat Packer lunches at the Muddy Duck and then later at Dave Adams resident . We had many spirited discussions on numerous subjects . Just a wonderful person and I will miss him .

Rest In Peace

Sincerest sympathy on your loss. I learned a lot about Mr. Roberts from my Dad who worked at C. P. for 43 years. You will miss him.
