In Celebration of

Edward Friel

September 5, 1930 -  October 23, 2022

Peacefully, surrounded by his family, on October 23, 2022, at the age of 92. Eddie was born September 5, 1930 in Glen, Donegal, Ireland. He moved to Australia for a time and then Eddie immigrated to Canada to settle there as a proud Canadian. Eddie was a devoutly religious man, holding his Catholic faith close to his heart. Preceded by nine siblings, beloved husband of Margaret and devoted father of Brian (and wife Maria), John (and wife Gillian) and the late Pauline. He was a proud and doting grandpa to Charlotte, Sarah, Aidan and Michael. Many thanks to the strong support of his extended family. As per Eddie's wishes, a private family service will be held. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross, in memory of Eddie's 30+ year service to their Meals on Wheels program.
