Edie Yeomans had a personality and presence that would have lit up the stage. Instead she chose a different path to the arts, becoming an internationally respected appraiser of fine art and collectible objects.

The depth and breadth of her knowledge made her a sought-after lecturer on both sides of the border including the Pratt Institute, and a Fellow of the American Society of Appraisers where she served as governor and in other executive roles. Edie also chaired Toronto's Outdoor Art Exhibition for several years and served as board member at the Varley Art Gallery in Markham.

Edie's appreciation of all things creative ranged from opera to Formula One racing. She was declared an "honorary car guy" by North America's top automotive appraisers for championing collector cars as works of art.

At home in Toronto, family and friends were spoiled by Edie's fabulous culinary skills (especially cakes!) that set the highest bar at special events and holidays.

Taken much too soon by sudden heart failure Edie will be dearly missed by husband Avo Koplimae, son John, sister Molly (Mike), mother Gladys, sister-in-law Ilge (Jim) nieces and nephews Sonya, Charlie, Dillon, Kayla and Aiden, extended family, business partner Stephen Sweeting, and many friends and colleagues across Canada, the U.S, Trinidad and the U.K. Predeceased by her father Lloyd.
