In Celebration of

Edgar (Ted) Boston

September 19, 1939 -  January 16, 2021

The Boston family is sad to announce the passing of Ted, on January 16, 2021, at the age of 81. Ted is survived by his loving wife Eugenia, brothers Bill (Eilish) and Terry (Diane), sister-in-law Lidia (Allan), his children Jennifer, Paul and Melissa, his step-children Larissa (Peter), and Andrew (Patricia), his nephews Sean (Sonia), Kevin (Cheryl), Brian (Heather) and Adam (Nicole), his niece and God-daughter Sarah (Zack), his many great-nephews and great-nieces, and grandchildren.

Ted spent most of his career as an elementary school teacher at Humbercrest Public School (Toronto District School Board) and as principal of continuing education with the former City of York Board of Education. As a teacher, Ted was known as “Mr. B”, who enjoyed teaching Physical Education. He will always be remembered as a kind person, with a great sense of humour, who always found time to help a student or fellow colleague.

Cremation has taken place. The family is planning a Memorial Service in the future, once we are allowed to safely gather again.

For those who wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Peel or to the Sick Kids Foundation.

Uncle Ted will be dearly missed. He was always so full of life and energy. We would often talk about sports or share jokes. You would always know when he entered the room because he was the social butterfly and bring a smile to anyone no matter if you were a child or adult. We love you Uncle Ted.

Eugenia I am so sorry for your loss. I know how close you and your best friend were. I only knew Ted for about four years but it was four fun years. His dry sense of humour was always entertaining. His knowledge of sports was unbelievable and he was definitely a gentleman.
RIP my friend.

Eugenia, I am so sorry for your loss of not only was he your husband but as I witnessed when you both were together, he was truly the love of your life & best friend. Every time I chatted with Ted he always made me feel like I was the prettiest lady in the room. He made me laugh and appreciated my knowledge of sports. We had great chats about our Canadian sports teams and I will hold those memories fondly. As Bill said and I echo, he was definitely a gentleman through and through. RIP Ted and Eugenia have peace he's in a more peaceful world. Kelly
