In Celebration of

Duro Bekic

May 6, 1933 -  November 5, 2018

Duro Bekic passed away peacefully on November 5, 2018 at the age of 85. He was cared for up to his final moments by his loving wife, Ljubica Bekic, in their home in Mississauga. He will be greatly missed by his children: Mila (Joe), Milka (Dule), and Rade (Jovanka). He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and two great granddaughters: Goran (Ashley), Erika (Eric), Momcilo, Jessica (Kosta), Mia, Ana, Nina, Lia, and Tijana.
Duro was born on May 6, 1933 in a small village called Cemernica in the former Yugoslavia. He was a man of grace, kindness, and love with a quiet strength and a talent for dancing. He never dwelled on the past and lived a life as a partner to his spouse and the biggest supporter to his children and grandchildren. He leaves with his family the lessons of working hard, respecting and loving family, and the value of helping others when needed. His smile, big brown eyes, and kind heart will forever be loved and never forgotten.
