In Celebration of

Dragica Andrasic

May 21, 1942 -  February 15, 2024

In Loving Memory of Dragica (Dana, Draga, Daca, Mama, Baka) Andrasic (nee Velimirovic)

Dragica Andrasic, born on May 21, 1942, gracefully completed her journey on February 15, 2024. She was a beloved mother and cherished grandmother, who infused her own unique style into every aspect of her life! Dragica was truly a legend! She was a fearless warrior, who always told you like it was. Her fashion sense was impeccable, always stylish, and she carried herself with flair. (Be sure to go the the right-hand corner of this page and select 'Photos' to see pics of this beautiful woman. Check often as we keep finding new treasures.)

Dragica is survived by her two daughters, Alexandra (Terry) and Sonia (David). Her greatest source of pride and love were her grandchildren: Roman, Sasha, Hannah, and Noah. Their memories of Baka are filled with love, respect, and humour. Not a day will go by without a hilarious story starting with “Remember the time when Baka…”

Dragica faced numerous battles with courage and grit, conquering several cancers throughout the years, demonstrating her incredible strength in the face of adversity. She stunned everyone with her tenacity! But let’s all remember that Dragica’s legacy extends beyond her struggles; she leaves behind a story of resilience and love. We should all follow her example. She was a fighter until the end and in her final moments, she found peace surrounded by those she held dearest. May her memory be a beacon of inspiration and may she rest in eternal peace. “It’s ok, it’s ok. Ok, bye, bye.”

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 25th (2-5pm) at Turner & Porter - Butler Chapter (4933 Dundas Street West). In lieu of flowers, we ask that contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society at the following family link:

Dragica was an immigrant who had to work hard and overcome challenges to build a better life for her and her kids on her own. A very strong and independent personality, I always enjoyed seeing and catching up with her.

She will be missed.

Baka has always been so kind and so sweet towards me since I started became the caregiver of Hannah and Noah. Always have great stories with her. Always sharing and she always makes me feel I am part of the family. She’s been very remarkable human being and great attitude towards life.
