In Celebration of

Dr. Prafulla A. Talwalkar

September 20, 1941 -  November 8, 2020

It is with sadness that the family of Dr. Prafulla A. Talwalkar announce his demise, on November 8, 2020 at the age of 79.

He passed away peacefully with his beloved wife of 54 years, Suniti, at his bedside. He was a spiritual man who believed and followed the lessons of the Bhagvad Gita – “The fruits of work should not be your motive.” With sage advice and guidance throughout their lives he will be missed by his loving sons: Dhruva, Nitin, Arjun, and their spouses. He was adored by his grandchildren: Anika, Mayako, Emiko, Milind, Aiko, Rana, and Devan. He also leaves behind his siblings Shrirang and Charulata.

Dr. Talwalkar dedicated his life to his patients for almost 50 years. His practice was the centre of his life and he treated his patients as an extension of his family. His compassion, empathy and devotion for them defined him as a caring physician.

A private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Online condolences may be made using this website.

Dr. Talwalkar treated all of the reps that visited him with professionalism, kindness and caring friendship. Not only did we talk about medicines but also about life. He was a gentle, wise and loving spirit. I am going to miss him dearly. My deepest condolences Suniti and family.

DR TALWALKAR - doctor , compassionate person, a great listener and full of wry humour. Our family doctor for 19 years. Your job on earth, fulfilled with flair and passion has come to an end but memories of the way you touched the lives of your patients and community will be indelibly etched on our hearts and minds.
May your soul rest in peace. (If Covid did not interrupt the way of normal living your patients would all be lined up around the block to send you home in pomp & style.)
Farewell DR. Talwalkar take your rest.

CONDOLENCES TO THE TALWAKAR"S FAMILY
May God give you peace and comfort in this time of sorrow.
