In Celebration of

Dr. Jean Hill

March 9, 1926 -  November 13, 2018

On Tuesday, November 13, 2018, Jean Hill passed away, after a life well-lived. Predeceased by her loving husband, John W. Hill, she is survived by two sisters, three children, eight grandchildren and many cherished nieces and nephews. She never wavered in her love for her parents, Edna and Arnold Macpherson. An outgoing individual, Jean enjoyed the friendship of many, including colleagues and those with whom she came into contact through a busy life of sports, travel and work. Always curious and vibrant until her battle with dementia became the priority, she ensured that those she loved had a host of opportunities just as her parents had provided her. Her many roles as doctor (University of Toronto Meds 48), wife, mother, and planner kept her focused on being the best she could be. A competitive person, she applied her substantial energies toward achievement in as many aspects of her life as she could and led by example. Jean's family wishes to acknowledge the care and work of Dr. Huang and the staff of Cawthra Gardens Long Term Care Home in looking after Jean. The challenges of her care were fully met allowing her a dignified departure from this world by attending gracefully to her needs.
