In Celebration of

Dr. Andrew Tynio DDS

December 5, 1930 -  August 30, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of Andrew Tynio announces his passing on August 30, 2023, peacefully in his home at the age of 92. Andy was pre-deceased by his wife, Sylvia, and their daughter, Andrea. He will be greatly missed by his brother-in-law, Russ, his nieces, Deb (John), Kim (Maarten), Alexandra (Steve), and nephew Greg, and their children.

Andy was a highly respected prosthodontist. His professionalism and attention to detail in dentistry has lasted the test of time and is still admired to this day. He was an avid golfer and was a member at St. George’s Golf and Country Club since 1960 where the bartenders still mix a “Dr. T” martini.

A private burial will take place. Friends and family are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with family.

For those who wish to honour Andy, we ask you to make donations to Surrey Place Foundation, helping families impacted by autism. https://foundation.surreyplace.ca

Dear Kim and Deb,
Many share happy memories of Bloor & Jane with Andy. Along with that we were fortunate enough to meet his family . Those days are long gone, but certainly not forgotten. My deepest sympathy to all family members.

Our friendship with Andy and Sylvia was very dear to our family. We had many adventures together that were filled with laughter, good food and wine . Their kindness towards us and especially their affection for our daughter as she was growing , will never be forgotten .
Rest now Andy with your dear Sylvia and Andrea.
