In Celebration of

Alice Kazmierowski

December 26, 1952 -  June 25, 2025

It is with heavy but full hearts that we announce the passing of Alice Christine Kazmierowski. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Alice will be dearly missed by her husband of 47 years, Tom Kazmierowski; her daughters, Kaitlin (Jason) and Hayley (Doug); her grandchildren, Clem, Claire, Augie, Luke and Jude; as well as countless relatives, friends and patients from the dental practice she shared with her late sister, Lucie (nee Tuch)Homburger.

Born December 26, 1952, and raised in downtown Toronto, Alice was the youngest child of Rozalia and Michael Tuch, and baby sister to Lucie. Playing with her friends on Phoebe Street and helping with the family business, Alice eventually moved to Markham Street with her family and attended Harbord Collegiate, where she met her future husband, Tom, in high school band and orchestra. After finishing dental school at U of T, Alice established herself as a caring and compassionate member of the city's dental community. She was always one to lend an ear to her patients and she strove to provide care to those most in need. Above all, Alice loved people and this came through in everything she did. Be it from her world travels, her long-standing involvement in the Toronto Esperanto Club or as a dental school alumnus, Alice cultivated friendships wherever she went. She was truly loved by so many.

Alice passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Princess Margaret Hospital on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, after living with leukemia for almost four years.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, July 1st, at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, between the hours of 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3055 Bloor Street West, on Wednesday, July 2nd, at 11 a.m., with interment to follow at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, 1570 Royal York Rd.

The family would like to thank the truly exemplary staff at Princess Margaret Hospital's Malignant Hematology Department for their incredible care over the years, and especially Dr. Sibai and the nursing team of the Blue Pod, 15A and Palliative Care.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Princess
Margaret Hospital Foundation.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Alice. Although our encounter was brief, her kindness and compassion left a lasting impression on me. Her genuine concern for my well-being and her thoughtful prayer for me will always be remembered.

Please accept my condolences during this difficult time. May her love, warmth, and spirit continue to inspire and comfort you all.

I was one of the lucky ones who got to know Alice at her dental clinic on Habord. Loved her generous sharing of how she was finding her way as a parent of two girls, loving story time shared over the evening meal.

Alice was so proud of hubby’s accomplishments as an expert in the science and engineering of the innovation of Ontario’s roads.

The two sisters were a sanctuary of love and respect whose care and patience helped soothe the anxiety of drilling and needles often associated with “the visit” to a dentist.

To the Kazmierowski family, my deepest sympathy and appreciation for sharing the beautiful caring intelligence that was Alice.
