In Celebration of

Dorothy Lamont

February 24, 1927 -  November 13, 2020

We are saddened to announce the passing of Dorothy Lamont who passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday November 13th, 2020 at the Coleman Long Term Care centre in Barrie, where she had been living for the last two years.

Dorothy was born in Malta on February 24th, 1927, she was the only girl in a family of 6 children. Four of her siblings remained in Malta and one immigrated to Australia.
Dorothy then immigrated to Canada with her first husband Joseph Micallef in the 1950โ€™s.
After her divorce she went on to marry Robert Lamont, the love of her life who pre-deceased her in 2012.

In her younger years Dorothy was the manager of a bridal store in Toronto and loved to collect pictures from her bridesโ€™ weddings over the years and proudly show them off. She was an avid seamstress who enjoyed the craft right up to her 90s.

Dorothy will be fondly remembered by all of her family, her two children Mary (Norm) and Rick (Bev), her grandchildren, Tina (Frank) Lisa (Dal), Courtney (Jason), Lacey (Philip), Jaime (Stephannie), Carly (Raymond), Ashley (James) and Melissa (Joel), and her great grandchildren - Jayden, Brennon, Arianna, Emily, Jayden, Ethan, Madelaine and Liam.

Due to COVID restrictions there will be a private family service.
