Donato passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Giuseppina. Loving father to Oreste, and his wife Morena. Proud Nonno to Daniel, Stephanie (Jamie), Ryan (Sarah) and great grandfather to Dilyn, Quinn and Luca.

For many years, he cherished time spent in his vegetable garden, making delicious tomato sauce and homemade wine. More recently, his favourite pastime was taking long walks to the park, where neighbours would greet him with a smile and a friendly chat – he became something of a local celebrity. His love for pasta was only rivalled by the love he had for his family, doting on his grandchildren and lovingly caring for his wife for 12 years after her stroke.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter ‘Neweduk’ Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W, Mississauga on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Merciful Redeemer Parish, 2775 Erin Centre Blvd., Mississauga on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Assumption Mausoleum, 6933, Tomken Rd., Mississauga.
