Donald P. Cumming died peacefully on Oct 25, 2024, in his 89th year after a brief illness.

He was predeceased by his wife Peggy with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. He is loved by his daughter, Carolynn (Paul), sons Robert and Don (Catherine) and his grandchildren Holly, Liam, Rebecca, Kristina (Craig), Megan, James (Nicole) , Matthew (Charlotte), Alexandra and Great Granddaughter Margaret. He will be missed by his sister Marilyn and close friend Renata.

He was a Senior Executive at CIBC overseeing the Bank's Commercial Real Estate Group with responsibilities for Canada, US, Australia and the UK. He was known as an industry expert in Real Estate Financing and Land Development across all the major banks. He took pride in mentoring and developing the careers of many employees over the years while at CIBC.

In his retirement, he travelled the world, loved to cruise the oceans and was passionate about playing golf with his close friends. The family extends their thanks to the Staff at the Heart Function Clinic and the Palliative Care unit at Trillium Hospital on Queensway in Mississauga.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter ‘Peel’ Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street (Hwy 10, N. of QEW) on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 6 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at Turner & Porter on Saturday November 2, 2024 at 1 pm.
