In Celebration of

Dionisia "Sia" Trigazis

March 15, 1940 -  September 8, 2022

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother Dionisia ‘Sia’ Trigazis (nee Diakopoulos). She passed away peacefully on September 8th, 2022 with family by her side.

Mom took comfort in always being surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Spiros for 60 years. She will be missed dearly by her daughter Mary (Nicholas), and son Leonidas (Nicole). She was a cherished “Yiayia” to her six loving grandchildren, Angelo, Natassia, Penelope, Tatiana, Spiros, and Elektra.

Sia was born in Pyrgos, Iliás, Greece on March 15, 1940, to the late Nikolaos and Georgina Diakopoulos. Devoted sister to Stavroula (predeceased) (Spiros), Peter (Martha), Terpsi (George), and John (Tassia) of Greece. Caring Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Family and faith were the cornerstones of her life. Her strength and devotion were inspirational. She took great solace through the intersessions of Saint Nektarios in whom she devoted countless acts of charity in his name, specifically through the Monastery and Orphanage of Saint Nektarios in Chania, Crete.

She will be missed by all. May her memory be eternal.

The family would like to acknowledge all the doctors, nurses, personal support workers, and physical therapists who contributed to her outstanding care over the years. Thank you for your kindness and compassion. We appreciate all of you.
