In Celebration of

Dennis Dunstan

September 6, 1945 -  February 28, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband to Ann, father to Tina (Jason) and Chris (Becka), grandfather to Nolan, Logan, and Mackenzie, and retired TTC bus driver, Dennis Dunstan. Surrounded by the love of his family, he departed this world on February 28, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, and cherished memories.

Born on September 6, 1945, in Toronto, Dennis spent his life dedicated to those he loved most. Throughout his career as a TTC driver, Dennis earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and passengers alike. His commitment to his work mirrored his commitment to family – steadfast, reliable, and fueled by a genuine sense of responsibility. He retired after 43 years of service.

Dennis was a man who found solace in solitude, often enjoying quiet walks while he was able, and embracing the serenity of nature or enjoying a movie at the local theater. His love for animals was evident, and he found joy in the company of the family’s dogs. Summer months brought him unparalleled happiness, basking in the warmth of the sunshine and indulging in the simple pleasures of swimming in the backyard. A man of simple tastes, Dennis appreciated the beauty in life's quieter moments. While he relished in events, he found peace in the absence of crowds.

As we mourn the loss of Dennis, let us remember him for the loyalty he showed his family, the dedication he displayed in his professional life, and the simplicity with which he embraced the world. May his memory be a source of comfort to all who knew him.

A celebration of Dennis’ life will be held at Turner and Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Funeral Home located at, 1981 Dundas St W, Mississauga, on Wednesday, March 6, from 7-9 pm.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 7, at 11 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church located at 921 Flagship Dr. Mississauga.

All friends and family are welcome to join in celebrating a man whose impact will forever be engraved in our hearts.

My deepest condolences for your loss. Dennis was kind and welcoming anytime I came to visit. I remember the surprise first time I got on a TTC bus and realized Tina's Dad was the driver! It was always nice to see Dennis. May he rest in peace.
