Sadly, Lorne Hamilton passed away on August 20, 2020. He leaves behind his much loved sister, Karen Bernardin (Hamilton) and her husband, Denis Bernardin. Lorne was an accomplished drummer, learning to play the drums St. Alban’s Boys and Girls Club, at the young age of 11. After completing high school, he became a professional musician playing in jazz bands on cruise ships, taking him to many countries around the world, eventually bringing him back to Toronto, notably playing with the Bob Cary Orchestra. His other loves were cats and photography, with which he had an incredible eye for taking pictures. He was a lifetime recipient of the Toronto Musicians Association for 50 years. Private family arrangements will be held followed by interment at Glendale Memorial Gardens. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Etobicoke Humane Society. Lorne was a drummers drummer and all around nice guy. My first Drum teacher when I was 11 years old! His journey brought joy for many. I'll miss his enthusiasm and dedication to music. He was an inspiration to me.
Strange times seem even stranger now.
Lorne lives on in many of us. Rest In Peace Brother

We all will miss Lorne. We had great conversations over the last few years that I have come to know him. Impeccable time as a drummer, honest and forthright in character, truly a delight to have known and work with him.
