Surrounded by love.
Beloved son, brother, partner, father and grandfather. Perseverance, courage and grit defined David’s medical journey throughout life starting at eighteen years old. David graduated Erindale High School, Sheridan College (Business) and was a retiree of Goodyear Canada. In his youth he played Rep hockey and lacrosse and spent many years with Burlington Senior Hockey

Diagnosed with Lupus in 1988 he was on dialysis for 2.5 years before receiving a kidney transplant from his brother Craig in 1991. He participated in the Transplant Olympics in Vancouver in 1992.

Again on dialysis and received his second kidney transplant from his former wife Veronika in 2008. His family were eternally grateful to Craig and Veronika for this “gift of life” to extend David’s life.

Many surgeries later cancer had finally won.

He was supported and loved on his journey and will be missed by Partner Laura, their children Emerson and Jack, his son Michael and wife Rada and grandchildren Braden and Lola, mother Adele (predeceased by loving father Glenn – 2004), his brothers Scott and wife Karen and family, his brother Craig and wife Bonnie and family and all his cousins, nieces and nephews in the Langdon-Herron Laughton clan.

Abundant thanks to the many doctors, nurses and medical staff for their care over the years.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N of QEW) on Friday October 17, 2025 from 10 – 11 am with a Celebration of Life beginning in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Inurnment Springcreek Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.
