In Celebration of

David Charles Belanger

February 24, 1933 -  April 8, 2021

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of David Bélanger at 88 years of age, following a brief illness. He was born in Britt, Ontario, to the late Herman and Lily Bélanger. Beloved husband of Jeanette (née Lachocky). Cherished father of Paul (Susan), Michael (Mei), and Joanne. Loving grandfather of Jeanne (Jerimel), David, and James. Proud great-grandfather of Daniel and Soleil. David will be missed by his sisters Ethel, Huldah, and Liz. Happiest on the Georgian Bay or in his workshop building furniture, David was a man who could do anything he turned his hand or mind to. His riches were his family and lifelong friends. A private graveside service will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada. Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca A private graveside service will take place on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Please join the family through livestream at the following link

We were very saddened to hear of dear David’s passing.
Ted & I will always cherish the wonderful family times we spent with him and Janet at their home and at their lovely cottage that he was always working on to
make things just a little bit better
Ted & David enjoyed many long talks about politics and hockey
We’ve had the pleasure of looking at the school clock David made us years ago and
it’s still keeping perfect time. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed
Rest In Peace David

You were always an inspiration to me growing up and even with your "gruff" exterior you were always kind to all us especially giving us part time jobs.

You will be dearly missed

My deepest condolences to the Belanger Family.

I grew up with David’s daughter, Joanne. I recall Mr Belanger insisting that I drive his station wagon on a number of occasions so Joanne & I didn’t have to use public transit. I was a new driver & not used to his vehicle, but I was reluctant to argue with Mr B. (It was nice that he trusted me)

May it help to ease the sorrow
in your heart
in some small way
To know that
sympathetic thoughts
are there with you today.
Thinking of you.
