It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dave at Trillium Health Partners: Mississauga Site on January 15, 2023.

Born in London, Ontario on July 25, 1939, Dave was predeceased by his parents, Dr. F. R.Varcoe Bateson and Geraldine (nee Webster), as well as his brother John, and sister-in-law Shirley. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 48 years Susan (nee Miller), their cherished son Andrew, niece Carrie McConnachie (Scott), and nephew Todd (Angie), along with their families.

Dave was a very kind and devoted family man. He will be remembered for his keen mind, sharp wit, and love of jazz. Dave was happiest while spending time at his cottage on Little Hawk Lake in Haliburton. He will be sadly missed by his much-loved family, friends, and neighbours.

Cremation has taken place and, at Dave’s request, no services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
