Daphne Alicia Cyrus, RN (Retired)

Eldest daughter of Solomon and Winnette, Daphne passed away suddenly at North York General Hospital after a brief illness.

She is survived by her loving children Beverly and Dexter, her son-in-law Andrew, her grandchildren Natashia, Olivia and Elyssia, and her great-grandson Camden “King George” (as she affectionately referred to him).

As the matriarch of the Cyrus Family, she leaves behind 5 sisters (Esme, Decima, Shirley, Elizabeth and M. Naomi), along with multiple nieces and nephews (Erica, Diane, Ian, Kathleen, June, Charleen, Nailah, Johanne, Jonelle, Nicole, Collin, Craig and Roger).

Daphne will be laid to rest with her parents and sister Barbara nearby. She will be truly missed by all members of her family, friends and past colleagues.

A private visitation will be held at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, on Thursday September 9, 2021 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, and a private funeral service will be held the following day on Friday September 10, 2021 at 11:00 am, also at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel.
