It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Danny Micheal Kalinich Jr. On Monday June 10th, 2024 at SunnyBrook Hospital surrounded by his family, friends, and colleagues.

Beloved son to Kathleen and the late Danny Kalinich Sr. Dear brother of Terry Kalinich, Rick Kalinich and The late Christopher Kalinich. Life-long dedicated, devoted friend and roommate of 25 years to Jeffrey Lay.

Danny will be missed and lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Danny passed away at 47. After a courageous battle with cancer. Despite facing a disability, Dan's determination and brilliance shone through in everything he did.

Dan’s significantly reduced vision did not stop him from programming and was admired tremendously by his twin brother. His tenacity was a direct inspiration for him.

He was a beloved son and friend to all.

Danny had many talents. He was a software engineer, C & C programmer, musician and loved to play the piano and drums. He also composed his own music.

Dan was an inspiration to everyone he knew. Dan never had a bad thing to say about anyone; except when he was joking around with his friends and he barely ever complained.

HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY ALL THAT KNEW HIM AND LOVED HIM

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 6-8 pm. A Chapel Service will be held at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 3pm.
