Danielita was my cousin, a ray of light, positivism and endless innocence.
Many were the laughs good times, birthdays and weddings we shared as a family, many the occasions, in good times and bad times, Danielita was always such a LOVE recharge for me and anybody who was around her.
This is a very moving moment, nostalgia takes over, as my heart feels her departure, at the same time, knowing her precious soul is resting in a much more peaceful place right now than this world. Danielita, you are missed greatly and forever loved, love you very much little cousin, love you infinite.

Danielita was born in St. Michael's Hospital on August 30th 1991 on the day of Santa Rosa de Lima. She attended Jr Kindergarten at Seneca Lab Newnham Campus in North York. Her teacher June Williams adored her and set the tone for a world of discovery and learning. From the ages of 2-4 she also attended the Centennial Infant and Child Center where she participated in a one on one early stimulation program preparing her for school. The Downs Syndrome Association of Toronto came into Dany's life the day she was born and supported Jackie and Cesar, introducing them to other families and to the joy that Dany would bring to their family.
Once in school she thrived and with the help of Community living Mississauga and the Down Syndrome Association of Toronto (DSAT), Dany participated in the various activities brought to her. Each summer she would attend the various summer activities and camps without fail. Her father was always attentive to her needs and ensured she never missed out. Her brother was always there to support and love her.
Dany continued to go to school and attended Loyola Catholic School where she met her best friends Katrina and Kevin. It is here that she would meet the teacher that would be instrumental in her life, Mrs. Boily
Dany graduated high school in 2012 and went to attend the Moving Forward Day program run by Jasinta and later by Jennifer, where she connected with her peers and engaged within the community.
With the assistance of Krstina Bosancic from Community Living Mississauga she attended the University of Toronto Mississauga Job placement program . After graduating, Dany was ready to enter the workforce. She began working at Molisana Bakery with Maria, Nadia and Fatima and then at Villa Forum Long Term Care Retirement home in the laundry department alongside with her coworkers Sandra, Tanya and Ashley.
Over the years Dany developed a love for music and this love was enhanced after attending a Night at the Symphony where she met Matthew her new friend, which was organized by DSAT. Her mother recognizing this passion for music brought in music teachers Kristen, Caitlin, Jennifer, Julia, Sharonna and Mariann to further develop her appreciation for music and in learning the piano.
Throughout the years Dany had many friends, Carolyn Fong was there from the beginning supporting Dany to gain confidence and assurance. Erika Tavares and Jessie Schwartz were Dany’s special friends, they did all the things that special girlfriends do from going to the movies, shopping and getting nails done. The latest addition to Dany’s list of friends was Carly Sherlock , although only had a short time with Dany, they shared a special connection. She had a special love for her stepmothers Gabriela and Marina and her stepsister and brother Lorena and Liam. She enjoyed all the family gatherings and was extra special when they could also be attended by her cousin Lucy. For those who knew Dany, knew that the most important days on the calendar was her Birthday which was carefully planned throughout the years, and her counting down the days she would visit her father in Miami. It is very evident that there are many people who were part of Dany's life and that she had a very full life enjoying the best in every day and finding the best in all of us.
