Cynthia Jane Gedney

Peacefully in her home, at 3:00 am on April 10th, 2022 at the age of 52. Born on November 29th, 1970, in Toronto. Cynthia is predeceased by her father Joseph Madracki, and survived by: her mother Kathy Madracki; her loving husband of 25 years, John Gedney; as well as her two loving sons, Josh and Ian Gedney. Cynthia is lovingly remembered by her two sisters Christine and Jennifer Madracki; brother Joseph Madracki (Jessica); niece Charlie; nephews Trey, Max, Finn, and Felix; cousins, aunts, uncles, and numerous friends.

Cynthia met John when she was 14, and he was 17. They married on June 21st, 1997 at Runnymede United Church. She grew up in Bloor West Village and later moved to Mississauga with her husband and two sons. She was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan and she loved watching hockey, especially watching her boys play and never missed a game of theirs. She loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed boat rides on the lake and spending time at the cottage. She was immensely proud of her two boys and all they have accomplished, and admired their kindness, compassion, humour, and dedication.

Cynthia was a truly wonderful person, constantly radiating positivity and always generous with her time. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends, and her memory will forever live on in her husband, children, and all who knew her.
