In Celebration of

Corinne Rosamond Thomas

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Corinne Rosamond Thomas. Wife of Arthur James, deceased, and mother of Anne, Nora (Frank), and John (Ann). Dear grandmother to Matthew, Scott, and Julia, and aunt to Lisa (Michael) and Suzanne. Predeceased by her parents and brother.

Corinne was born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario, where her family belonged to the congregation at St John’s Anglican Church and was active in church life. She spent many happy summers at the family cottage, golfing at the Peterborough Golf & Country Club, and skiing with friends at Mont Tremblant. She moved to Toronto as a young woman, married, and raised her family in the Kingsway, where she fully engaged in neighbourhood life. The ladies of the Bridge Club were close friends over many years, with regular games of bridge and companionship. Corinne’s joie de vivre was infectious and celebrated by friends and family alike.

Family and friends are welcome to visitation at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Thursday, November 7, from 6:00-8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on November 8 at the Yorke Chapel, with reception to follow at The Old Mill. Interment will take place at a future date in Peterborough, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

We wish to extend our thanks to Corinne’s family doctor, caregivers, and staff at Sunrise of Erin Mills.
