In Celebration of

Connie Fung

March 28, 1948 -  January 1, 2019

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Constance "Connie" Fung (Seto) age 70 at the Mississauga Hospital after battling kidney disease. Beloved wife of John Fung, she is survived by brother Alex Seto, sister Terri (Peter) Coubarakis, nephew Justin and niece Jade, She is predeceased by sister Helen, father George Chow Seto and mother Jean Seto (Fong). Connie will be deeply missed by her cousins, in-laws and close friends who will remember her warmth, loyal friendship and great strength throughout her life dealing with her health adversities. Born in Halifax, NS, Connie spent her formative years in Ottawa. She graduated from Carleton University with a BA in English which lead her later in life to her love of teaching English to young Chinese students. She shared her love of cooking with her dearest friends and family as they experienced her enthusiasm for life, love of storytelling, and great sense of humour. We would like to thank the wonderful nurses at the Sussex Centre Self Care Dialysis Unit that became her second family.

In lieu of flowers, donations to www.kidneycarenetwork.ca will help continue to improve the quality of life of those with chronic kidney disease.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Turner & Porter "Peel Chapel" 2180 Hurontario St. Mississauga (Hwy 10 N of QEW) at 1:00 p.m.

Dear Connie, I am sincerely sad you are gone! You were a beautiful soul that inspired us all! Both Jade and Justin always lokked up to you! I am happy you will no longer suffer from medical problems as you have been for so long! You are the most brilliant example of positive energy in spite of your most difficult period of your life constantly fighting the painful procedure of dialysis three times a week! During the past two decades that went by so fast, the Universe is my witness on a daily basis I would look up and pray that you would get better! Rest in peace my beautiful sister in law! We love you and miss you! See you on the other side when my time expires in this life time! ⚘⚘⚘

To dearest Connie,

I am so lost for words......I keep thinking you be all right and I would see you again.

I am absolutely broken but at the same time at peace knowing that you no longer in pain, no longer in pieces and unsure of what news was to come next.

Ah....I am so sorry that we didn’t get to chat while you were unwell. Hope you didn’t have too much pain.

Even though I live so far from the other side of the world you were always in my thoughts.
Good bye my beautiful Connie I love you to the moon and back. I will miss our long phone chats and seeing your lovely smiles on my visits.

I will always cherish our moments together especially your first taste of the hotpot with Susan and I few years ago. Thank you for that lovely day, you and John made it so special with lots of laughter, pictures....pictures and selfies and junk food.

Well Connie with time we will all heal from the pain of losing you and move forward with our lives but you will never ever be forgotten. May you Rest In Peace my bright star. Mmwaaaaaa!!! Love always Winnie, Ian, Sarah and Joshua McGinniss
