April 9, 1933 -  August 16, 2019

Peacefully, on Friday, August 16, 2019, at the Trillium Health Centre- Mississauga, at the age of 86. Stancie was the only daughter of the late Laura and Dick Cameron of Inverness, Scotland. She graduated as an Occupational Therapist in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1955. Stancie worked in Inverness until 1957, when she immigrated to Montreal. She married George Ward in 1964 and moved to Toronto. She remarried Hugh Trueman in 1973 and immediately became the step-mother of four boys!! They had a wonderful life together with many trips, adventures and family gatherings. Hugh died in 2004. Before retiring as an Occupational Therapist in 1993, she specialized in hand injuries and orthopaedics and had one of her hand splints patented. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her step sons Clint, Tim (Pat), Roger (Tracy) and Matt, and two grandchildren Cliff (Ann-Marie) and Scott and one great-grandchild Cali.

If desired, remembrances may be made to a charity of your choice.

Sorry to hear about the loss of a loved one. I have made a donation in Stancie's name to the Heart and Stroke foundation of Canada. Roger has told me she took a shine to my mom and that was nice to hear. Also Stancie was an innovator in her career as an Occupational Therapist and when my daughter Julia chose that career path I told her about Roger's mom.

I have only fond memories of Stancie. Worked closely with her for many years at North York General Hospital. A devoted therapist and wonderful woman. My condolences on her loss.
